With the 2015/16 season fast approaching here’s our rundown of where to go, what to wear and what to use!

Where to go…

1. Val Thorens

Val Thorens maintains an internationally renowned reputation season after season. Its high altitude creates superb powder, coupled with a great selection of après-ski bars and restaurants such as La Folie Douce. All in all, it’s pretty difficult to have a bad time here.

2. Les Deux Alpes

If you ignore the ‘old-school’ accommodation blocks it’s a very cool and lively resort with a great selection of slopes. Les Deux Alpes is ideal for large groups running on a budget. If you fancy a warm and cosy lunch on the mountain, look no further than La Diable au Coeur.

3. Mayrhoffen – Snowbombing

Every April a truly unique festival descends upon Mayrhoffen, Austria. For one week the resort hosts 6,000 visitors, of which, 90% in fancy dress and a huge selection of acts (the Prodigy and Oliver Helden in 2016), creating a globally unrivalled experience. Find out more

4. St.Anton
Although St.Anton is an expensive ski resort, the beauty of the village, stunning views, selection of runs and busy après ski makes it a must see. Best advice would be to book early, it is extremely popular especially during school holidays.

5. Zermatt
Located at the mammoth Matterhorn, Zermatt delivers the overall ski trip package year on year. Superb skiing, bars and restaurants, breath-taking views and great hotels. What more do you need? It’s also car free and eco-friendly!
